She took it to the counter to ask if they had a different one because the one she found was broken. The lady apologized for not having another like it. My beautiful 7 yr old daughter shrugged and thanked her for looking. We continued to browse and a minute or two later, the woman came over and gave it to her to have even though it was broke. “It would just go in the trash, but if you don't care and it makes you happy you can have it.” She explained. My daughter lit up and thanked her profusely. We looked around the store a bit more and my daughter decided to buy a bag of polished rocks because. “She was so nice to me dad. I should buy a little something.” She counted out her allowance money and walked up to the counter to buy her rocks. We left with rocks, keychain, happy hearts and a wonderful experience. She has taken her keychain and rocks with her everywhere on vacation! |
