Appliance Repair by Ellington Air Conditioning & Heat in Rockledge, Florida

I will give 2 stars as they were able to find the root of the problem that others could not. However, they then tried to sell us a brand new unit that we really did not need based on 3 other Air condition 2 Nd opinions. It really only needed parts replaced. I was told the parts would be in 5 to 7 days. After day 7, I called as I had my 87 year old parents in one unit without A/C in over 80 degree weather and tenants in another without A/C . They said that they cannot control the mail and now not sure when it was going to arrive. They offered to install a portable A/C in the bedroom for 150 each condo but then decided to waive the fee but made it very clear that if they had to come back to service the portable A/C that there would be a charge. I called the service guys Mel manager Rachel. She was fantastic and had him go see if the part was at fed ex and it was sitting there and they installed it the next day. Before the installation was completed, I get a call from Joey saying he needed my credit card to pay for the installation. I told him I needed an invoice. He informed me that they did me a favor and normally expect full payment before the job is even done. I told him, had I known that, I would not have done business with them as we have several commercial rentals and vacation rentals in Key West and we have never been asked to pay in full for a job upfront. I then get an invoice that says it is “outstanding” balance and they guy just finished the job 5 minutes before I got the invoice which I did pay in full. I feel that they are all about the money and will tell you anything to try to up sell you . Most companies send me an invoice and I pay by a certain date but never been asked to pay before a job is done .. so this was my experience with Ellington.

This is a great outfit, and I would enthusiastically recommend using Ellington. Have been using them for the last year now. They are responsive on the phone. If you leave a message, they return calls the same day. They can schedule quickly for emergencies and are flexible for non-emergencies. Their technicians are friendly, punctual, and professional, instilling confidence in their work. I like that they provide 5 or 6 estimates, ranging from fixing bare necessities for functioning, to a bigger list to make your system like new. Allows me to do the best I can for my air system within my budget. This is a top notch professional outfit. Feel fortunate to have them serving in the Keys.

Ellington has been excellent to work with. They are very organized. I like how they communicate through text messages prior to appointment with technician name and experience. I especially like technician Corey. He is so professional and hard working. He has been out to our house on multiple occasions and Ellington is lucky to have an employee like this.
