Household has 5 people, and with no warning, our 4 year old washer stopped working during the draining cycle. Too new to replace, too old for any warranty. Sprague Appliances was the only listing in the most recent phone book. Went online to find a review but there were none to be found. Called a few friends to see if they had had dealings with Sprague. One had. His experience had been good. So I called Mr Sprague. Instantly on a first name basis. I had called at 4pm. Would 8am next morning be too soon? Not a bit too soon! He called at 8am to tell me he was on his way and arrived at 8:15. Listened to washer for 5 seconds and told me what the problem was clog in drain pump. Brought in a pump to drain the left over water from the machine, tipped the machine, got down on the floor with a screwdriver, unscrewed something, pulled out a piece of wire that was jammed in and keeping the pump from pumping, screwed something back, tipped the machine back up, reset the cycle, pushed the start button, and we're back washing clothes at home! During our interaction Roger was friendly, polite knowledgeable and prepared. The bill was reasonable; saved me 300 over buying the cheapest replacement. I would like to highly recommend Sprague Appliance.
