Appliance Repair by GFY Appliance Repair in Winder, Georgia

My dryer was not working and I was recommended to this company for repair. This was my first time using a service like this so I was a bit worry that i could be deceived since I don't know anything about dryers. But I'm glad I did go with this company. The technical that came to my house were super friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my dryer and it didn't cost much at all. They exceeded my wife and I expectations. We are beyond happy that they were able to fix it and saved us a ton of money by not having to buy a new one. I hope the techs get a raise because they were awesome. I already saved the business info in my phone for future service or to buy appliances when we need it. I would give them 10 stars if i could.

The first thing to mention is that I have lived in Barrow County for 25 years and never knew about GFY Appliance Repair and Showroom. I went down there on Saturday during one of our rare snowstorms thinking I needed a new dryer because the one I had was 24 years old and was no longer drying clothes. When I got to the showroom, the salesman told me that most of their business is repairs and I told him that after 24 years, I thought my dryer was shot. But if it could be repaired, it would be far less than a new dryer and they give a years warranty on labor. What really impressed me is that the salesman was straight up and honest and said he didn't make commission on sales but on repairs. Too many times when I go to a retail business, like Best Buy it is always a hard sell with the caveat that they DON"T make commissions. What's the point of saying you don't make commissions? It always makes me think they do and that they are lying. And when I have to go to Best Buy in Buford to BUY an appliance, they never have them in stock. They have a facility five miles away that you have to travel to, go through their security nonsense. Buying from Best Buy is the worst experience. The exact opposite is true of GFY Appliance Repair. They came out, and fixed the problem for far less than what it would have cost to buy a new dryer. They were polite, diagnosed the problem and fixed it within an hour. I am so happy I found a local place that sells and repairs appliances and I will DEFINITELY be using them again and recommending them. If I could give them more stars, I would.
