Hadn't been in the store for a couple years because last time I was there I waited in line for far too long finally decided to give them another shot so I got a bunch of stuff n waited in line while they trained a guy on register, when that was done they started looking up something on it instead of waiting on the line of customers after 10 more minutes decided to put the stuff back n go elsewhere, I will never go in that store again, Ace is far more customer oriented.

Everyone is very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Hometown really feels like an old "hometown" hardware store. From the people to the building it has that vibe. And, they nearly always have what I am needing.

Like the name suggests, you feel like the store is there for you. It's a place where the staff gets to know you on a first name basis, helping you out with that special project or emergency repair. I recommend you go check it out.
