Appliance Repair by Best Buy in Dewitt, New York

Tonight I stopped in to get a converter box to convert the digital audio output of my new TV to analog inputs for my old stereo receiver. The area specialist said there's no such thing and that I'd have to buy a new stereo receiver. Told him that wasn't happening, came home and ordered one on Amazon for 9.99.... Just because your store doesn't carry an item, doesn't mean you should be telling customers to spend a few hundred bucks on equipment they don't need....

I use Best Buy often because it provides a range of good products. Over the weekend and into yesterday however they gave me quite the customer non-service run around, bouncing me between counters and phone calls saying "we don't do that, you'll have to go to..." Quite the waste of time.

Place is clean and bright. Getting into the parking lot is tough though. There is construction and more cars than before in this location so bring your patience. Inside the store, inventory seemed to correspond with what was on their website. Their return policy seems better than what it was a few years back. Lots of products and can pretty much tell what items will be on special for black Friday as there are stacks and stacks of products throughout. Pay close attention to prices though. In one case, I saw a TV for 279 just 4 weeks ago and now listed "on sale" for 299. This trip, we were able to get in, get what we were looking for and get out without waiting in long lines. We saved money buying the item locally versus buying online. Overall, good experience.
