CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! I wouldn't even give this entity one star if possible. Poor workmanship, inexperienced / incompetent so-called mechanic at this shop. Initial interface was nice, the owner and his “ace mechanic” came forth in a pleasant manner. I inquired if they could fine tune a freshly installed carbuerated SB ford, complete exhaust, bleed a freshly installed braking system and install a passing gear cable - all on the same running truck. Their sales pitch was great...”we race cars, our speed shop is filled with experts with all the diagnostic equipment; your request will be a light day for those guys...they really are great!” YEAH RIGHT!!!!! RIGHT!!!!! Was assured that the requested tasks was not only within their scope but that I was to receive EXPERT service inside a week. The price of more than a THOUSAND dollars seemed excessive seeing as how the mufflers was already supplied by us for the exhaust - all they had to do was bend the pipe, hang and weld. They even said “Just pay us half and when you see the finished product you can settle the balance. You're really going to be impressed.” MORE THAN FOUR WEEKS of excuses later, from someone who appears to be the sole person working there from day to day, the engine ran WAAAAAY worse than when they started. The exhaust was a complete chop job where this window washer had to take the pipe from the shop in West Point to what is apparently another chop shop in Williamsburg, where apparently another window washer attempted to weld it. The guy that is supposedly a mechanic at this West Point shop is so incompetent that he was proclaiming that Ford had factory produced a 327 cu in power plant. He was completely lost. This set alarm bells with us and we inquired as to if what we had requested was within his skill set. He once again assured us that it was, he then provided another set of excuses. A few days later, we expressed that we weren't pleased and was just going to retrieve the vehicle and then settle up. The incompetent guy cut the exhaust off the day we were supposed to pick it up!!!! We demanded to see the owner who was off site and had to be summoned to come there and for his part, he assured that he would at least have the exhaust installed correctly. Whoever his exhaust “installer” is STILL GOT IT WRONG!!! Welds only on the underside of the pipe, the pipe had been beaten in places with a hammer and there are exhaust leaks EVERYWHERE!!!! Passing gear cable not installed, brakes not bled, horrible exhaust job and most importantly - the engine out of time and completely out of tune. Buyer beware!!!! Stay away from this establish as they are not worthy of calling themselves a repair shop at all. Completely out of their depth with anything more complex than a tire rotation or a windshield wash. I've got pictures and video of all that I'm putting into this review. I wouldn't let them change my oil and if you care for your vehicle, you won't either. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
