I went to the show room at D&K and picked out a refrigerator with Jim, one of their salesman. Jim, my wife, and I stood in front of the unit we wanted and he gave us a quote that we agreed on that included a dish washer that was the same style as the refrigerator. 2 weeks later when the delivery came in they sent us the wrong appliances, I completely understand mistakes can happen and Jim may have ordered the wrong thing. When I called to talk to Jim and figure out what to do next I was directed to Jim's manager, Dan. Dan has the business acumen of one of his refrigerators, Dan told me I had 2 options 1. accept what was incorrectly sent 2. pay extra for what I actually ordered because I was given the wrong price and he "could not take the loss"... he offered no other compromise. When I explained to Dan that I stood in front of the unit I wanted and agreed on a price with Jim, Dan's response was that the invoice says what was delivered is what I ordered and that "I am responsible for what is on the invoice". The invoice has model numbers that mean absolutely nothing to the consumer they are just model numbers. After I admittedly got angry with Dan, he said "how do I know you're not pleading ignorance?" which is when I cancelled the entire order. Dan also informed me he didn't have to let me cancel the order but he would. So if you want to be sent what you didn't agree to buy and than told you are at fault for it AND then have someone imply you are lying about it, D&K is for you!
