Appliance Repair by Moonlighting Appliance Repair in Palm Desert, California

I could not have been happier with the service I received from this business. First of all, he re-arranged a schedule to get me in the same day of my call. Then, the tech was running a few min. late and he took the time to call me to let me know this. Then, he called again just before he arrived!! After much time diagnosing my problem with my washer I was only charged a service fee, he was able to fix it without replacing any parts. I would definitely use this company again for any other appliance.

I contacted Moonlighting based on the two good reviews posted, which are very good reviews! However, my experience was the exact opposite! For my initial call, I left a message on a Friday afternoon. I received a call back from “Bill” to say a technician would be coming out that evening. So, I waited, but nobody ever showed up, nor did I get any phone call. I called and left a message. The next day, on Sat., I received a call from Bill. No apology was offered, he just said he would call me the next morning, Sunday. I did not hear from him until Sunday evening. That was December 22nd. At that point he made arrangements to come out that evening. He came and charged me 70 to look at the oven and he said he made an adjustment! I could not see any difference. He had to order a part to fix the oven. He indicated possibly having the part and fixing it before Christmas Day, but for sure it would be repaired by New Years. He also told me he would be getting back to me the next day with the cost to repair the oven. I have not heard a word from him since that day and it is over a week since New Years. I called and left message, and still no return call. I attempted to contact him this morning and his message box is full and I was unable to leave another message. I am a senior citizen on limited income. Paying 70 is a lot of money for me to spend on nothing. To be treated like this by any business is completely unacceptable! Normally, I would not leave a review, especially a negative review. But since the only two reviews are good reviews, and that is what I based my initial contact from, it's only right to provide future potential customer's of my negative experience with Moonlighting!! The service I've received was negative from the very beginning. So, now I need to pay another appliance repair person another service fee in order to move on and get my oven repaired!! So, my experience with MOONLIGHTING APPLIANCE has been totally negative and my only reason for writing this review is to provide others who will have this information before making the same mistake that I did!! I should have paid attention to the very beginning, when promises were broken. Plus, Bill's phone shows up as an unknown caller, no caller ID! That should have been an indication as to the kind of service he provides!!! Totally disappointing and angry!!

I called Bill on a Saturday and told him I needed repair on my dryer. After describing the problem, he gave me some suggestions to try before making an appt for him to come out and check it on a Saturday. I tried what he said and it WORKED!! NO service call needed. Bill is now 1 on my appliance repair list for any service needed in Palm Desert. I am very grateful to him!! There are still GOOD and HONEST repair techs in this world...thank you, Bill! : Donna
