Ashish Mahajan | We have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator. We bought it 3 years ago, thankfully with a 3 + another 3 year service plan. It has broken down twice a year since we purchased it. Each time we lost food and had to get a rental, which Sears reimbursed us for. The catch with the service plan is you need 3 different repairs in one calendar year, otherwise you cannot get a replacement. Finally this year we have made 4 repair calls. It has been a tremendous inconvenience every time as we have to rent a fridge each time. Every summer we have had spoiled food and guests visiting, with a rental in our dining room. While the Reps on the phone are very nice as are the Techs when they come 2-3 weeks after the repair call, the quality of Sears overall is not what it used to be. I highly Rec to never purchase a Sears appliance. Once they break, and they all do dishwasher, and Microwave, there are countless hours holding, being disconnected and dissatisfied. Not worth any savings Sears may be giving you. |
