Appliance Repair by Don’s Appliances in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Steer clear of this company. I bought from them trying to support a local business and feel incredibly disappointed and scammed. The details follow, but ultimately you'd be better off going with a larger, more reliable company. Here's what happened: We purchased a mattress from Don's that we were told was being cleared out because of updates to the “style” through the manufacturer. The model we were shown was as good as new; a 2,500 mattress that was discounted to 1,200. When it was finally delivered a week and a half later than promised it was filthy and had a hole in the side. Not only did they bait-and-switch us, the only thing they offered was an insultingly small amount of money back for us to just keep the greasy, damaged mattress or to replace it at an up-charge of 300+. Once we demanded our money back, it took two weeks for them to come get it and process the refund. We were without a mattress for a month because of Don's nonchalant negligence. Avoid this company at all costs. Go somewhere more reliable. After this was resolved, we ordered from a larger company and had a perfect, sanitary, new mattress within a couple of days for around the same price.

The new gas range we bought less expensive than the box stores! wasn't in stock or in their warehouse, so had to be ordered directly from the manufacturer; but we received delivery in less than a week. The delivery men were FABULOUS! They took such good care removing our old stove, installing the new one, took extreme care to get it leveled just right, and explained how it worked I hadn't downloaded the manual yet. So nice, so polite, too! Next major appliance we need, we'll definitely get it from Don's Appliance!

We had a great experience working with Don's Appliances. We purchased three new kitchen appliances. The prices at the different stores we shopped were very similar. We decided to go with Don's Appliance because of their customer service. That is what made the difference and was the deciding factor. I must mention how professional the delivery guys were. They went above and beyond in my book. They were on time. They were very careful not to damage my door-gams, corners and counter surfaces they also protected my floors with boards and carpet runners prior to removing my old appliances and installing my new appliances. They assembled and removed all packing and protective coverings. They made sure everything was working properly and I didn't have any questions prior to them leaving. I can't say enough good things about the delivery and install experience.

It was easy to purchase the appliance over the phone while looking at pictures and specs online. The installation team arrived on time, removed the old one and connected and tested the new one.Having to replace home appliances is not fun but this process went quickly with minimal hassle. Appreciated the on-time arrival and the experienced team.

Amazing Appliance Store! So this year due to scheduling, our family Thanksgiving will be the Saturday before. My husband and I are hosting for many guests. Imagine our shock when we were cooking dinner Tuesday evening when we heard a loud pop in the oven. Yup, the inner glass door exploded and broke into a thousand pieces. No stove and 5 days from our holiday celebration. In a panic, we called Lowe's and they couldn't accommodate us for at least a week. We called Don's Appliances and spoke with Bob, who was wonderful, understanding, and very accommodating to get us the desired stove we wanted with the specifications we needed. And most amazing was that we had our new stove delivered, set up and ready to go in LESS THAN 48 hours!! And what courteous, efficient, and professional delivery personnel too. Yes a late morning Thursday delivery that will enable me to still prepare some fixings on Friday the day before our holiday. SOOOOO GRATEFUL TO BOB, and DON'S APPLIANCES for saving our Thanksgiving 2019! Thank you! Stick with the smaller family owned and operated business folks, they have a much better quality and customer service than these big corporations!

Excellent buying experience plus prices were good. Jason our are sales person was very personable plus gave us the scoop on the worthwhile options and ones that are not needed for the appliance we bought. Delivery and installation of dishwasher followed a few days later. Installation team was very professional , provided mats to prevent scuffing of the floor and was careful when installing the new unit.

Exceeded all expectations and this is my third purchase of major appliances from Don's! Helpful, expert salespeople Zach Culley who spend all the time you need to compare features & brands. Exceptional delivery and installation! The installers were friendly, prepared, efficient, and knowledgeable, offering instructions and helpful tips. A great customer experience from start to finish..this is a company that has earned its reputation as THE BEST.
