This is a good, little music store with knowledgeable staff who are not totally hung up on their own opinions.... if you are a musician, you know what I mean. I don't need arrogance and top dollar equipment for my marching band kid, but I do need reasonably priced well made gear that helps him be the best he can be at the stage he is in. Allegro music really makes that happen.

Allegro is a nice local music store with a friendly staff. They have a very small selection of instruments usually two alto saxes and one tenor, for example other than guitars and pianos of which they have quite a few, many of which are used and on consignment. I believe they can order band instruments, though, and they do offer rentals. They also do repairs of guitars and band instruments like saxophones and their prices are pretty reasonable, though you should expect to leave your instrument for a week to 10 days on average if you tell them you have a deadline like a gig, they will try to accommodate but they don't have a big repair staff, I think it's just one guy. Last thing to mention is that they have practice rooms which host a lot of the local private music teachers' lessons, so if you are in search of lessons, whether that's woodwinds, brass, piano, guitar, strings, whatever, Allegro is a good place to start as they have lists and business cards for a lot of teachers.

Just about every any wind, string and drum instrument is available here! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Conveniently located. Competitive prices. Not the most top of the line expensive stuff but they have what works best within a reasonable price.
